Code of conduct when using Moodle forums
The forums in the Moodle courses are a supplement to curricular teaching for collaborative exchange between students and lecturers. Anyone using the forums agrees to observe the rules of netiquette. Users who do not adhere to these rules must expect to be excluded from using the forums.
- Content relevance – Post content and comments that add value for everyone.
- Factual tone – Pay attention to politeness, respect and friendliness towards other users. Joking, ironic or sarcastic remarks are difficult to understand in writing if they are not marked accordingly.
- No insults – Hateful or insulting content or personal attacks are not acceptable, will not be tolerated and will be deleted.
- Do not make inappropriate content – Racist, discriminatory, extremist, sexist, pornographic, vulgar, violence glorifying, unconstitutional and illegal content or otherwise inappropriate content is forbidden. Any contravention will be punished.
- No patient data – It is forbidden to publish patient data.
- Neutrality – Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin is neutral in terms of ideology. Distribution of political or religious views or beliefs in Moodle is forbidden.
- No advertising – Distribution of advertising and other commercial content is also not permitted.
- Data protection – Confidential content such as addresses, phone numbers, matriculation numbers etc. will be deleted.
- Copyright – Copyright regulations must also be respected for forum contents. Mark quotes from other texts accordingly and cite the source.
- Liability – We take no responsibility or liability for any comments and links posted by users.
